Attention Student Drivers WITH VALID Parking Permits - Just a reminder that parking in the student lot is now open to both juniors and seniors who have valid parking permits.  If you have a late arrival in the morning, please note, tardy due to parking issues will not be excused.  Plan and leave home earlier than usual to allow time to find a parking space.  Students can only park in white spaces or the gravel lot.  NO RED OR YELLOW SPACES.  Students are not allowed to park in the lots at the front of the school building.

Whale Watch - the 2017 Whale Watch is fast approaching.  Permission slips and information sheets have been handed out.  There is still a few spaces available to those of you who might be interested.  Please consider this wonderful annual trip full of adventure and memories.  See Mrs. Dougher if you would like a permission slip and take note that payment for the trip will be due by February 15, 2017.  Email Mrs. White or Mrs. Dougher-Merves with any questions or concerns.

Lip Sync Competition - Are you interested in lip syncing to your favorite song? Grab a friend, a whole group, or go solo and sign up outside of A142 or F127. Sign ups end at 2:35 on January 18th. The competition will be held on January 27th at 7:00 in the auditorium. There is a mandatory rehearsal beginning at 3:15 on January 26th. See Ms. Patella or Ms. Loux with any questions.

Attention Seniors - Anyone interested in attending County College of Morris this fall, decision day is January 25th.  Please see Mrs. Buchanan in the guidance department for details.

Attention F.B.L.A. Members - there will be a mandatory meeting TODAY, January 17 at 11:00 a.m. in room C106.  All members MUST attend.

R.E.A.C.H. will be making its first trip to the middle school on Wednesday, January 18.  REACH members should meet by the auditorium at 12:10 p.m.  If you have not done so, you will need to turn in your permission slip immediately or you will not be allowed to make the trip to LVMS.  There is a list posted on Ms. Higgins' office door, double check that you are on the list.  See Ms. Higgins with any questions.

Special Olympics is looking for ten volunteers for the Special Olympics of New Jersey Bowling Meet on January 21, 2017.  The event takes place at Hanover Lanes in East Hanover.  Volunteers will need to be there from 7:45 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.  There will be 32 lanes of fun! Transportation to the bowling alley from WMC is available for up to four volunteers.  Anyone interested, please fill out the forms provided on the Highlanders Haiku page.

WMC Project Graduation discount cards are now available.  These cards are $10.00 each and will allow the card holder discounts for over 45 local businesses.  Cards can be used multiple times and are available by accessing the order from found on the WMC website or by contacting any WMC Project Graduation committee member.  Thank you for your support!

Yearbook Sales are now open.  More information and the link to purchase a yearbook is on the school's homepage.  See Ms. Patella in room A142 if you have any questions.

Winter Sports - Forms are now being accepted.  To be eligible for winter sports, athletes must have:

  • a physical submitted on the school physical forms
  • if the physical submitted to the nurse is more than 30 days old, an updated form is needed
  • an IMPACT test
  • clearance for any recent injury
  • medication form if needed
  • fill out the online sports registration for the winter sport, or add to your current registration if you played a fall sport

All medical forms are located on the school website under HEALTH OFFICE.  All physical forms are located under ATHLETICS.  All physical forms and update forms must be printed and turned in to the Nurse.
